Nestled amongst a major freeway, modern architecture and the entrance to Universal Studio is a small 19th century building. Today the small Studio City park shares space with a transit center just north of Hollywood. 165 years ago the Campo de Cahuenga hosted representatives of the United States government and leaders of Californios. They gathered to sign a document which ended the Mexican-American War in California. This moment in California history ignited profound changes in the lives of all and continues to have ramifications in the 21st century.</p>
